Traditional Usucha (Thin Tea)
- Sift 2g (1 teaspoon) of matcha into your bowl
- Add 70ml of water heated to 80°C (176°F)
- Whisk vigorously in a W or M motion until frothy
- The ideal consistency shows fine bubbles across the surface
Modern Latte
- Prepare usucha as above with 30ml water
- Steam 200ml of your preferred milk to 65°C
- Pour steamed milk over whisked matcha
- Sweeten to taste if desired
